{what i'm collecting now}

I may be late to this party but, I am loving the silver and silverplated pieces I have purchased recently.  You can use the small footed bowls for holding lavendar, sea shells, jewelry or whatever your little heart desires.  In my humble opinion, anything looks better in a little silver bowl!

My ironstone and brown transferware collections are a great compliment to the silver, if I may so myself.  I even like the silver in it's imperfectly, perfect unpolished pantina!

What new collections are finding their way into your home these days?

  1. You are so right about everything looking better in a silver bowl!

    I am in the process of digging out my tarnished treasures this week and I'm loving every moment.

    I haven't started any new collections lately. Instead I'm slowly working on increasing my collections of ironstone pitchers, creamers (silver and ironstone), clocks and books.

  10. I've had a love-hate
    relationship with my
    silver plate since I
    was first married and
    often wished that I'd
    registered for pewter,
    instead. But in my
    "maturity" I've come to
    appreciate silver in
    all of its hues and
    patinas, and I've even
    added new {old} pieces!
    Most recently, I fell
    in love with silver and
    silver plate cigarette
    urns and now have a
    collection of three : )
    Perfectly imperfect;
    I like that!
    xx Suzanne
