More evidence....vintage influences are everywhere!

Can you guess where these images came from?

These images are from a store/catalog that is known for their quality, but mostly contemporary furnishings (not to mention some mighty high price tags).

And while I never thought this particular store/catalog would ever give up their clean-lined contemporary point of view.....

It seems they are taking notice that design is not all about shiny new, mass produced elements.

They are acknowledging that us regular folk, like to mix it up a bit - make things interesting.

And as you know, I am always a sucker for the "real thing"....I am loving RESTORATION HARDWARE'S shiny new take on all things vintage!!!

I think I have a buyer for my current dining chairs, so those new "Madeline" chairs pictured above will be finding a home in my cottage. And the pillows....let me just say that buying new pillows is like buying a new lipstick, it provides that much needed "lift" for relatively little cost!

Anyone else loving the "new" Restoration Hardware items?

  1. I too have been loving Restoration Hardware. Their new catalog was full of great items. Pottery Barn has been looking very vintage lately too. It's everywhere and I'm a happy happy camper.

  2. I was amazed and delighted as I was flipping through the new Restoration catalog yesterday! Love how they are bringing in a little more character and personality! I also adore those dining chairs! Some of their new light fixtures are to die for!! Yeah Restoration Hardware it was time for them to add a little "cozy"! Allie

  3. Yes, they seem to be on the same wavelength as Pottery Barn which is also more vintage/country/rustic than usual right now. (and very much like what Wisteria's been doing all along) I read somewhere recently that "country" is making a big comeback in interiors... but in this edgier, vintage-meets-industrial type package. I like it! (and I LOVE that stool!)

  4. Pier1 (surprisingly) has the exact same kind of dining chair! You should check it out! Plus, the matching barstools are 50% off right now. Love a good deal and love the more vintage inspired look of both stores!

  7. I will take one of everything from this collection! It's a look I've been in LOVE with for a long time...I only have one concern...I don't want it to take away from the artisan type pieces at shows and flea markets or great little lifestyle stores who had it right all along.(It sometimes happens when great things go mainstream...Think Rachel Ashwell and Target)
