My friend Melaine from My Sweet Savannah is doing an e-course, as part of
Jeanne Oliver's summer series, on using reclaimed wood to make frames and signs
and other wonderful things. If you know anything about Melaine,
the girl knows her way around power tools and seems to have an
abundant amount of energy and 'can-do' spirit! Besides being handy,
she is one of the nicest peeps I have met via blogging.
Do you want to join me on a journey of erasing
our fear of power tools forever? And maybe make
some cool things for ourselves too?
in her e-course to readers of Forever*Cottage!
To enter the giveaway simply:
Leave me a comment telling me the last power
tool you used {keep it clean ladies!}.
And if you are too impatient and would like to enroll in
Melaine's class for a reasonable $10 you can!
To register go to jeanneoliver.ning and register (this part is free).
You will find the mini course along the left hand side of the site under COURSES.

I will announce the FIVE winners on Monday!
Either a drill or my sander. Love Melaine's frames and it would so cool to learn to make them!
ReplyDeleteMy palm sander or my jig saw (sp?)....I adore both! I would love to win this e-course! Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, you are cracking me up and I love you! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI need to take her class. I love her stuff! I used my palm sander. I love that thang!
ReplyDeleteI used a circular saw because I got the wrong blades for my saber saw (otherwise known as a jigsaw) and because I don't have a table saw (yet). :)
ReplyDeleteI love these e-courses! I use my power drill every week, it seems. I even bought a spare battery so I never have to wait for the thing to charge.
ReplyDeleteI have the tools but I never use them because I'm afraid of them. This would be a perfect class. I've been wanting to learn how to use them for a few years now.
ReplyDeleteThe last power tool I used would be a palm sander. I would love to learn how to make these frames. When it comes to buying them they're usually expensive. I hate to buy them when I'm certain I could make them (if I knew how) for little to nothing! I visit both this blog and mysweetsavannah daily, I actually thought I'd typed wrong when I came to this blog and saw a pic of Melaine lol, had to look twice to make sure I was actually on forever cottage. :) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have used an electric drill! Excited for this giveaway
ReplyDeleteI used an electric drill. I would LOVE to win this to motivate me to use MORE tools! I LOVE Melanie's frames, they lok so good in her house and I imagine them looking as good in mine! Thanks!! Cheryl
ReplyDeleteThe last power tool I used was my sander. I can't wait to learn from Melanie how to make frames like hers.
ReplyDeleteooh that would be my trusty olde cordless screwdriver
ReplyDeleteA year ago my Honey-do list was longer than he had time to do so I had him show me the basics and have been using my TABLE SAW ever since. I too use repurposed wood and do image transfers on the wood I salvaged myself. You can find a few examples while my website is being revamped at www.mishkagreetings.etsy.com
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a fireman...and never home. That forced me to become acquainted, three months ago, with our power drill! I needed to repair the floor of my cute little chicken's coop (yes, I have a chicken..her name is DeeDee). By some miracle, I managed to successfully pull off the repair. I then secretly wanted to learn more about the darn drill so I could start building things ~ I got the bug!
ReplyDeleteJust finished up using the hubby's chop saw. I have to admit, I love that thing but I am probally like Tim the Tool Man Taylor when I use it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Her frames are to die for!!!

It was either my sander or screw driver. I adore Melanie and would love to learn how to make her frames!!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed,
Kristi
I used a sander. I love making things look old.
ReplyDeleteI tried to use hand sander, but gave up after not being able to find any sandpaper in our mess of a garage :).
ReplyDeleteThe only power tool I've used was a power screwdriver. I would love to learn! Lisa S
ReplyDeleteThe last power tool I used was probably my compound mitre saw. And I need to use it a whole lot more to keep plugging away at the trim around here, but it will have to wait until the kids are settled back at school.
ReplyDeleteThe last power tool I used was a sander, I'm making a table out of reclaimed barn board. It's a lot of work! (totally worth it)
ReplyDeleteI used my jigsaw to cut wood for handpainted signs!!
ReplyDeleteI used a jigsaw to make scallops on a piece of wood, then painted chalkboard for sign on my porch...but my fav power tool is nail gun ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to learn these frames!!!!I have a stack of wood outside waiting & walls that need the love.

i used a sander on a dresser
ReplyDeleteIt was a power drill because I don't know how to use much else! I would love to learn how to do more!!!
ReplyDeleteI last used a power drill. I have been wanting to start making frames, so the timing is perfect! The comments are even inspiring to use more tools :)
ReplyDeleteLiterally just put away my circular saw after cutting yet another un-straight line. How do you finish straight after the laser has left the wood? Grr!
ReplyDeleteHmmm that would be both my orbital sander and my screw driver. :-) Love my tools. LOL Great Give-aways....thank you! Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! I would love this! The last & only power tool I've used is a sander. It would be great to learn more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!

What was I thinking, I meant a screwdriver.
DeleteOkay, I'm boring...I just used a hammer and nails. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking my Kitchenaid doesn't count?! Yep, I totally need to take Melaine's class. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it was an electric sander . . . that is about the extent of my power tool skills. :) I've always wanted to make frames, but have been too nervous to do on my own. I would SO love to take this class.
ReplyDeleteDoes a hammer count?
ReplyDeleteThe last power tool that I used was a jigsaw. My daughter and I had a grand time creating things for her new room. I would love to take this class and expand my knowledge of power tools and create something wonderful to share with my family and friends.
ReplyDeleteOh I think it would be the mixer/...does that count??
ReplyDeleteA hammer!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...well we just put two wardrobes together with a cordless screwdriver and nail gun - but by "we" I mean my husband wielded the tools and I held things in place.: ) I definitely think I could use a little encouragement!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
