Weekend Giveaway.....

My friend Melaine from My Sweet Savannah is doing an e-course, as part of
Jeanne Oliver's summer series, on using reclaimed wood to make frames and signs
and other wonderful things.  If you know anything about Melaine,
the girl knows her way around power tools and seems to have an
abundant amount of energy and 'can-do' spirit!  Besides being handy,
she is one of the nicest peeps I have met via blogging.

Do you want to join me on a journey of erasing
our fear of power tools forever?  And maybe make
some cool things for ourselves too?

Melaine has generously agreed to giveaway FIVE spots
in her e-course to readers of Forever*Cottage!

To enter the giveaway simply:
Leave me a comment telling me the last power
tool you used {keep it clean ladies!}.

And if you are too impatient and would like to enroll in
Melaine's class for a reasonable $10 you can!

To register go to jeanneoliver.ning and register (this part is free).
You will find the mini course along the left hand side of the site under COURSES.
Click on the course you want to register for and pay.
If you don't see the course you are looking for click "view all" under the courses for a complete list of courses.

I will announce the FIVE winners on Monday!

  6. I love these e-courses! I use my power drill every week, it seems. I even bought a spare battery so I never have to wait for the thing to charge.

  7. I have the tools but I never use them because I'm afraid of them. This would be a perfect class. I've been wanting to learn how to use them for a few years now.

  8. The last power tool I used would be a palm sander. I would love to learn how to make these frames. When it comes to buying them they're usually expensive. I hate to buy them when I'm certain I could make them (if I knew how) for little to nothing! I visit both this blog and mysweetsavannah daily, I actually thought I'd typed wrong when I came to this blog and saw a pic of Melaine lol, had to look twice to make sure I was actually on forever cottage. :) Thanks for the giveaway!

  13. A year ago my Honey-do list was longer than he had time to do so I had him show me the basics and have been using my TABLE SAW ever since. I too use repurposed wood and do image transfers on the wood I salvaged myself. You can find a few examples while my website is being revamped at www.mishkagreetings.etsy.com

  14. My husband is a fireman...and never home. That forced me to become acquainted, three months ago, with our power drill! I needed to repair the floor of my cute little chicken's coop (yes, I have a chicken..her name is DeeDee). By some miracle, I managed to successfully pull off the repair. I then secretly wanted to learn more about the darn drill so I could start building things ~ I got the bug!
